Kry is a leading Swedish healthcare company that provides medical services via video consultations. In 2021, I led a project aimed at improving communication, allowing patients to discuss treatment updates and ask doctors questions through chat before, during, and after their consultations.
I joined the messaging task force to enhance chat features in the Kry product. Our first project enabled patients to reply to messages in their Inbox, while the second offered a chat option instead of video consultations. By updating existing components and designing new elements like photo uploads, I developed a sophisticated chat interface for online consultations that fit into the existing Kry eco-system.
By the time I left Kry in the summer of 2022, chat had become the preferred method of communication with clinicians, with 55% of patients opting for chat over video calls.
